It’s Carnival time in Rio! And there are different ways to enjoy it. Next Sunday and Monday the samba school parade takes place in Samdóbromo. But those who are already in Rio don’t need to wait anymore. Starting today there are lots of blocks performing on the neighborhoods. The blocks are democratic spaces, eveybody can joins them. The ticket to enter in a block is happiness. So improvise your costume and choose your block.

Today – Banda da Rua do Mercado (Downtown), Badalo de Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa neighborhood) and Loucura Suburbana (Engenho de Dentro).

Friday – Carmelitas (Santa Teresa), Bloco Virtual (Leme), Embaixadores da Folia (Downtown) and Vem ni mim que sou facinha (Ipanema).

Saturday – Céu na Terra (Santa Teresa), Bola Preta (Downtown), Pega pra Sambar (Downtown), Multibloco (Downtown), Carioca da Gema (Downtown), Sassaricando (Glória)…
