After a run to the grocery my friends Jing and Una found themselves with an abundance of fresh basil on their hands, and not knowing what to do with it handed it off to me. I was overwhelmed because of my love for basil and wanted to use it in about 600 different ways, but because I was only given enough for about one dish my dilemma became how to best utilize what I had. Instead of featuring it in a stir fry type dish or just throwing it into something, I decided to make something I could use in many ways that would last for a little bit longer than one meal.
