This week saw the return of Manchester Pride. Events run from the 17th through to the 27th August – culminating in a street festival around Manchester’s famous Canal Street area on the bank holiday weekend.

As a photographer, the parade is always a big draw – thousands of people turn out on the streets of the city to wave on the colourful (and loud) procession of representatives from local organisations and groups supporting the Pride movement. Below is a small selection of my photos from the parade.
