David Yerle writes about the existence of infinite universes, each one unique. In philosophy this is called “modal realism.” David Yerle will give some arguments for it and some against it and then will let the reader make up her mind.

There are many ways of approaching the multiverse -from “multiple universe”- each with a different set of assumptions. The multiverse is a prediction of several physical theories, which does not make it less of a controversial idea. Many physicists consider those who speak about the multiverse to be little more than crackpots, though there seems to be a growing number of those “crackpots” in mainstream science.

The first time the multiverse showed up was in Everett’s interpretation of quantum mechanics. For those unfamiliar with the theory, David Yerle will include an extremely brief summary of its predictions which can be skipped by those who know about it.
