Because nothing ever happens there.” The suburbs of Santiago might be a lot different to Manchester but people born and raised here would probably feel the exact same way about their home town; no war, no famine, no floods, no earthquakes. Nothing ever happens here, just the endless struggle to relieve the ennui of suburban domesticity. And yet the city has a reputation for being one of the most dangerous and crime-ridden places in Europe.
