Last night saw the opening of a new bar in Manchester… The Liquor Store is a little place tucked away at the junction of Blackfriars Street and The Parsonage below the Maybrook House building. It’s not far from the hustle and bustle of Deansgate but delightfully relaxing.
The décor is dark and candlelit with plenty of comfy areas to sit and peruse the loaded cocktail menu. There is a big nod towards the Manchester music scene and the cocktail menus are themed around different album artwork from Manchester’s greats.
Speaking of that cocktail menu, it is vast and wonderfully quirky with offerings such as the Reverse Thyme Mojito and the Salford Cide-Kick. Speaking to our efficient waitress we opted for a Jennings Cox Daiquiri and a Rye Port Cobbler.
