This film was my moment. I had created many films in different genres but this film solidified my love for film making. It was a pleasure to Direct, the crew were fantastic and the actors were amazing. The film was well received at local and international festivals, winning a handful of awards. It was even picked up by the awesome youtube channel Indymougl, who had some kind words for the film.Through this I picked up one major film making truism, “if you don’t get your film out there it will never be seen.” I was one of those film makers that sat around hoping that someone would notice me, that they would come to my door/film of their own accord and give me awards and jobs. Now I have a more proactive approach, telling people about projects, my films and going to networking events.
