Back in the heady days of February 2012, when I first arrived in São Paulo, a particularly vivid memory was that of witnessing the entire Mocidade samba school march down our street as part of their rehearsals for Carnaval.
On Friday, exactly one year after leaving London, they kindly repeated the act, this one being their final street rehearsal ahead of Carnaval next weekend. I’m glad to say that I was prepared for it this year and managed to get downstairs in time to capture it at street-level.
