Day Two Brasilia

Day 2 in Brasilia was a very informative day with sessions and discussions about Brasil’s History and Culture, as well as the Brasil’s Educational System. I won’t go through all the details, though I encourage you to research or Brasil on your own, but here are a few fun basic facts about this wonderful country:

  • Brasil has the 5th largest population at 190 million people
  • Brasil has the 6th largest economy in the world and is the most biodiverse country in the world
  • There are 26 states in the country
  • 70% of the population in Roman Catholic
  • The blue on the country flag represents the sky, the green for Brasil’s lush land and ecosystem, and finally gold for minerals and wealth
  • Brasil is one of the four major growing countries, also known as BRIC: Brasil, Russia, India, China.
