Visitors to Manchester today certainly got more than eye full of the city sights, with around 100 cyclists, mostly wearing very little, cycling through the streets in a giant naked convoy to mark World Naked Bike Day.
The event to celebrate freedom of expression is also a protest against exploitatative oil democracies and also a way to increase the awareness of the vulnerability of cyclists on the roads usually bulging with cars, vans and lorry’s and a call for lower speed limits in built up areas.
Upto 300 well-wishers attended the event in Manchester, armed with cameras, smartphones and light-hearted spirits to applaud the riders as they set off on their journey around the City Centre from Oxford Road and flying past popular hot-spots of Piccadilly and the Northern Quarter.
