Back home in Toronto. I went from winter in Australia back to summer in Toronto. 30 hours of travelling to get home. Good trip!

Here’s my list of the films that stayed with me from the Melbourne International Animation Festival 2013:

Koji Yamamura’s “Mount Head”  This 2002 film is my favourite film by Koji Yamamura. It’s dark and fantastic! Great to see it again in Yamamura’s Retrospective Screening.

Joan C. Gratz “Lost and Found” (2012) Amazing film done with coloured clay. Eerie and beautiful. It was included in the open night screening at MIAF and in the Portland Focus screening.

Michael Frei “Not About Us” (2012) A delightful play on black and white.
