Went out for a meal on Saturday night at Cafe De Pearl on Bold St

In celebration of my good friend earning his PhD, we shared this fabulous layered dish of prawns, duck, pork, chicken, brocolli, shitakke mushrooms and much more.

It was wonderful, the dish is served on a burner to keep it hot, this is a meal to take your time over!

Mid way through our meal, the Brazilica 2013 Parade made its way down Bold St. We took a break and watched the festivities…

The streets were lined with people dancing and having a good time.
It was a fantastic whir of colour and sound, and the girls all looked gorgeous in their costumes shaking their stuff!

It was a great night out and nice to get away from the house, those of you who follow me on twitter may know I’ve been having some neighbour issues!
