Miss Butterflies : Lily Greenwood

Lily Greenwood who is born and raised in the North of England and came to live in Manchester for her studies at the Manchester Metropolitan University and specializes in illustrating children’s books. Since 2006, she moved into a studio in Manchester Craft and Design Centre in which she produces and sells her own creations.
Her theme of predilection is the nature portrayed inspired by the traditional way of Japanese printmakers of the 18th century, but with her personal touch of modernity. The freshness and softness of her paintings are very pleasant to the path of the eye and provides a peace of mind, as if we read the verse of poetry. We can also quite imagine its representations to other types of media such as tissues or porcelain.
