The partner of American journalist Glenn Greenwald, who interviewed whistle-blower Edward Snowden for The Guardian, was detained in the United Kingdom for nine hours without a solicitor/attorney under the UK’s Terrorism Act of 2007.
David Miranda, a Brazilian national, was travelling home to Rio de Janeiro from Berlin via London’s Heathrow Airport when he was stopped by airport police and detained for questioning under the 2007 law.
