If you’ve never tried or seen cakes like this one, this is a fruit filled sponge cake from Wong Wong Bakery in Manchester. A typical Chinese cake. A must-try if you like sweet cream, a very light sponge -in comparison to typical European sponge cakes- and fruit! Not sure how much this cost since I didn’t buy it. But I do know that you can order a cake in advance and get it personalised accordingly. And if fruit filled cake doesn’t tickle your fancy, the bakery also offer cakes with different fillings such as jelly. I realise that this probably sounds like I’m being paid to promote this bakery, so I’ll shut up now.
