Whitworth Art Gallery is ending the summer with three days of celebrations before temporarily closing for an extensive redevelopment project.
The schedule is both exquisite and intriguing with acid house played by a brass band on Friday, Manchester School of Samba performing on Saturday night and Nick Crowe’s and Ian Rawlinson’s Six White Horses installation ending the festivities.
There is so much going on, we can’t even decide what to attend. Film screenings? Talks? Concerts? Group art projects? Delicious food will be provided, amongst others, by Barnhouse Bistro, Chaat Cart and Ginger’s Comfort Emporium. We might just camp out in Whithworth Park this weekend. Is that even allowed?!
When: 30 Aug – 1 Sept
Where: Whitworth Park, Whitworth Art Gallery, Oxford Road, Manchester M15 6ER
