In Recife Antigo, there’s a weekly drumming event (PT) called Traga a Vasilha that’s been going on since the year 2000. It happens for an hour every Friday starting at 11PM on Rua Mariz e Barros. The group defines themselves as “a meeting of friends that ended up becoming a serious Maracatu event” but apparently anyone can join in on the fun.
