According to the New Economic Foundation, there are 5 ways to well being; Connect, Be active, Take notice, Keep learning and Give.
Social Adventures’ Strivefor5 project involves a weekly get together where people help each other improve their health and happiness and explore these different areas. I went to last nights session on being active. The group were very friendly and all contributed ideas to help identify barriers to being active and encourage each other to do more. Then we were given a guided tour of Chapel St by Mike the historian, who offered some historical facts on it’s many places of significance.
The walk was just over a mile long;
