  • The much-awaited reopening of Manchester’s Central Library takes place on Saturday following a four-year £50 million refurbishment, bringing this iconic Grade II-listed building bang up to date whilst restoring the intricate 1930s architecture. Key features to look out for include the Henry Watson Music Library, the BFI Mediatheque and those looking to trace their family roots back to Manchester should visit Archives+.
  • Salford Quays will be illuminated this weekend as Future City kicks off a month of contemporary art activity at the waterside location.
