I had a such a great luck this time in Brazil. I have always wanted to play maracatu with a band here in Recife for carnival, this has been my a little i reachable dream. Ever since I played maracatu with Maracatu New York, I got hooked on the rhythm. It is like a soul purification or spiritual journey, a meditation of some kind. It is definitely a strong reason for me to come far from the other side of the world to seek this magical experience.
