Last weekend I went on a trip to experience Valencia and the festival of Las Fallas, which is held in spring every year. It’s a festival where they build giant statues and celebrate with many fireworks displays at night, and make a lot of noise with firecrackers throughout the day. This happens continuously for 5 days, with huge street parties at night, and on the last day they burn the statues down.
I went on a “day trip” organised by my residence hall, which involved getting on an early morning bus, exploring the town at day, partying at night and then catching the bus home in the early hours of the morning, all without getting any sleep or rest in between. Here are some of the highlights:
