Tião Paineira at Work

Meeting Tião Paineira was such a big part of our trip.  He and his family are everything that is good about travel and cultural discovery.  So, this week, I thought I would share a video of him demonstrating his skills for us on this trip.  You can get a sense of the sweet, gentle soul that filled our trip with light, and see those experienced hands, though not as firm as they used to be, still find their way around clay.  If you don’t know about our journey in Tiradentes, read our previous post: The Hunt for Cultural Authenticity: Estrada Real-Tiradentes.
