Hello everyone!
After living in this incredible country for over a year, I’m slowly getting used to the Brazilian way of life and society. This isn’t always a very easy process. When I first arrived here, several aspects of Brazilian culture were very surprising to me. Of course there were the obvious differences like the language, the weather and the environment that required a deal of adaptability, but it’s the small, unexpected differences that were most interesting to me. Here is one of the first things that surprised me most during my initial months here.
One of the first things I noticed was that Brazilians seem to absolutely love standing in lines. People spontaneously start forming lines in all possible places: at bus terminals, in shops, public offices, etc. For a simple lunch in the average restaurant you will stand in 2 lines: first to get your food…
