Star Trek

I confess to being a fan of Star Trek. I am of an age when James T Kirk was of significant influence on my young mind and I looked forward to the prospect of intergalactic space travel. Sadly, the more I learned about physics the more I recognised that I might have a long wait before we perfected Warp Drive. No sign of First Contact yet!

However, there is something going on in Manchester. Correct me if I’m wrong but it looks to me like The Federation has a building in Salford.

These buildings are opposite The Lowry and adjacent to the Lowry Outlet Shopping Centre and they form a fantastic combination of shapes, colours and angles. Amidst all the steel and glass of the development we even have brick – even if it is gloss black in colour.
