The Portuguese word saudade, has no simple translation but it bears resemblance to words like; wistful, longing, melancholy, or the blues. On Saudade the Thievery duo accomplish translating an elusive emotion into a warm, sand swept album that conveys “saudade” regardless of the listener’s primary language.
