Intoxicated, dressed in a rain poncho and in a field of mud with my friends, I had the pleasure of attending Manchester’s Parklife festival last weekend. Coincidentally the festival fell 7-8th June, also the weekend my university finished for summer, meaning celebrations were in order. With the likes of Snoop Dogg and Foals headlining it was set to be an amazing couple of days, though come Friday morning I found myself manically running through Nottingham train station (a habit I desperately need to break) whilst the weather forecast was nothing but rain and thunderstorms. Not a great start, especially when one of my friends (Hi Sutha) didn’t quite manage the train station sprint and was left standing on the platform as the train sped away with myself, Ryan and Alice all on board. Luckily she boarded the later train and we all, eventually, got to Manchester.
