Last week, Miss Kiki visited Manchester’s Northern Quarter where she got to meet some of the inspiring people who are transforming this tiny neighbourhood into one of the most vibrant in the North West.

I love her photograph of Fig & Sparrow, her favourite lifestyle store come coffee bar, because it presents a beautiful canvas with a delightful story to tell. The image is bursting with the natural pastel shades and textiles that are so evocative of traditional British textile industry. This particular scene caught her eye because the ‘Miss Kiki Salon’ brand is one that looks deeper into the photographic images that the team captures to provide the inspiration for their unique textile designs. To her, this deceptively simple scene provides a lovely aura of purity and freshness.
