Hello for a third time today!

My boy Alex showed me this next song. This song is called “Batucada (Carl Cox Remix)” by Spiller. I prefer the Carl Cox Remix over the original Spiller version because it is faster and sounds better to me. Batucada is actually a version of Samba that has an Afro-Brazilian influence. With it’s infectious percussion sounds and exhilarating dance style, Batucada represents what Brazil is all about, and thus makes this a perfect song to get in the mood for the upcoming World Cup.

The first thing I think of when I hear this song is Carnaval. I have never been there in person, but from what I’ve seen, this song would compel me to celebrate in the ways that they do during Carnaval. Hip shaking, feet quaking, chest bouncing: that’s what I envision. This song just makes me wanna get up and dance!
