What’s a Sunday Tea Dance without Tea, Scones, and Dancing?

What better way to end our time at the Victoria Baths than a tea dance? It was so heartwarming to watch these people dance or more specifically, Lindy Hop (Ironically, it originated in America)! They looked so COOL and you could just tell they were truly enjoying themselves. I spent about the first hour serving tea, but I knew I definitely had to get in on the action at some point.

So with confidence, I awkwardly danced my way closer to the dancers…saw how impossible it looked up close…and danced my way back.

Okay, it didn’t end there. A young man was willing to teach me and although I stepped on his feet a couple of times, I really enjoyed it! With that sort of atmosphere, you can dance in any way and still have loads of fun. At least that’s what I kept telling myself.
