Our mini animation festival kicks off today at 11 am with the screening of ‘Tired of Swimming’ by Anna Eijsbout. Described as the story of an old man torn between the lingering presence of his dead wife, a fish in a jar and the reality of his lonely exitence, the stop motion animation is a haunting and beautiful experience.
The screening will take place at Terrace, next door to MadLab.
About Anna
Anna Eijsbouts is a Dutch animator/ director. After having graduated from a BA (Hons) in Animation at the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2010, she continued her studies at the Royal College of Art (London) where she graduated from the Animation MA in 2012 with the film Tired of Swimming. Since she has worked as a freelance filmmaker / animator and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Bedforshire.
