Of course, when travelling to a new country, culture shock is inevitable, especially when it’s worlds apart from your own in so many aspects. So, here I bring you 6 differences between Canada and Brazil that I personally experienced during my 7-week stay.
1. Toilet paper trauma – This was definitely the biggest shocker for me. Apparently, Brazilian pipes are not made to support the flushing of toilet paper down the toilet…. So, instead of tossing your soiled toilet paper in the toilet and flushing it down like we do in Canada, you are to dispose of it in the wastebasket that sits next to toilet.
