Before I make your mouth water and inspire you to take a spontaneous foodie trip around Europe, I must provide an obvious disclaimer that these are not definitely the best brunches in Europe. My student budget did not allow me to casually brunch every morning and although that would have been my ideal trip, I also felt obliged to see some of the amazing sites the continent had to offer.

Of the 16 countries I was able to visit, here are five of the greatest brunches I cannot get out of my head and try to recreate with abysmal results.
