This past weekend Emily, Meredith, and I took an accidental trip to Geneva, Switzerland. We took a day trip to Annecy, a quaint, medieval town in south-eastern France with a beautiful back drop of the mountains. Or so we thought it was quaint until we arrived…

Upon boarding the bus to Annecy from Geneva we couldn’t help but notice two Screen Shot 2015-03-02 at 3.52.03 PMmen dressed up in some very bizarre costumes. I couldn’t help but laugh and take a picture. We were all honestly pretty confused, but no one else around us seemed to care too much.

When we arrived in Annecy the streets were swarming with people in costumes and masks, who made the strange men on the bus look plain. Little did we know the Venetian Carnival was going on this weekend. The streets were packed with people photographing the people dressed in costumes who paraded through the town.
