Going to college to study Tourism Management opened my eyes to learn other languages but it wasn’t until I got my first job in hospitality that I realized speaking English was going to be more than essential. I worked for a 5 star hotel in Brazil during 2 years. The neighborhood was known for the beautiful beaches but also the prostitution that surrounded. Even illegal it happened a lot and because of that the company had rules to avoid problems. Guests should not receive anybody in their rooms, if there was any visitor, should be met in the hotel lobby, no exceptions.
