Takk is an Icelandic inspired coffee house located in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. I’m a massive massive fan of all things Scandinavian, as I’ve said before, so I was more than happy to be taken here for brunch.
The coffee is their own Nordic Style espresso (North Projekt) and is very nice indeed. I love the different ways it was served but nothing beats a good cup of coffee…
The coffee house feels like it’s just walked out of Iceland except it’s much bigger than most of the places I visited, even though it’s not an overly large place. The open brick work is gorgeous as are the lights and I really love the big communal table in the middle. There’s a big bookcase at the back, that always makes me happy as I love browsing over books. There’s even a lovely Iceland mural on one of the walls.
