Growing in the city and urban sustainable development are inseparable things. These days, eco-friendly solutions are more than welcome to make our cities livable and reduce rubbish through reusing and recycling. Big media outlets, like the Guardian, are collecting smart ideas on the issue of urban sustainable development from all over the world, but the local environment may supply us a clue to treasure trove of valuable information.
A bunch of unique but simple ideas was presented at the Manchester’s summer gardening festival Dig the City 2015. Now it is over and we can sum up the results. Sometimes we just need to have a look around to find a lot of practical solutions. Some good ones were shown by the festival participants:
