Spanish Markets in Manchester

On Saturday morning my friend Sophie and I headed in to Manchester after hearing that a Spanish Fiesta was taking place in Albert Square.

There didn’t seem to be too much advertising around this event, as we only heard about it on Friday afternoon, but we were up and out on Saturday and ready to explore!

It was a gorgeous, sunny day in Manchester…

We arrived bright and early and the square was still quiet. We could see the chefs on the food stalls preparing their dishes and getting them underway.

The website, which you can see here, told us that there would be food stalls, language classes, flamenco dancing lessons, and markets.  Spanish DJ’s and singers would be there providing entertainment in the evenings too.

We wandered around the market, and noticed that some of the stalls were taken by Spanish restaurants…
