Patterns, bright colors, men without shirts, drums, singing, dancing, street art, bus rides, tall strange trees, green foliage, jungle, rain, monkeys, beach, giant worms – Essentially a new world. Some of the words I would use to describe Brazil thus far.
There is so much to feel, to live, to learn and to write about, but I’ll just stick to one event for this post…
Shayna and I arrived to the São Paulo airport at around 9:00pm and to our hostel around 10:00pm. Since we had been traveling all day (started at 6:00am), and since we would be in a giant, slightly dangerous city, the two of us had previously agreed to spend our first night in Brazil staying in the hostel and getting a good night sleep. But of course, that plan didn’t last long.
