Teach your children Brazilian music rather than Lullabies

I realized lullabies probably do not exist in Brazil. Brazilians are raised with so much rich music of their own from their earliest stages. They don’t waste any time, they start strong in music and cut out the lullaby music  for children and go straight to the good stuff-  samba  and the other dozens of other Brazilian genres.

Hence, by the time they are old enough to attend a concert, every single one of them sings out loud every single word to every song.

This assumption was physically manifested while attending a New Year’s Eve outdoor public concert in Salvador. From the top, everyone looked like a mass ant colony with moving orange dots ( which were the walking beer vendors). Up close to the masses of  people and standing completely squeezed in between people, I witnessed the fruit of all the years in the making stemming from   Brazilians
