1001 Albums You Must Hear (and Blog about) Before You Die
Brief Background: Clube de Esquina is a double album that was released in 1972 by Brazilian Milton Nascimento. The album in its double LP form seems to be out of print. The link to Spotify is a condensed 44 minute version whereas the original is 66 minutes. When trying to track down the full version to purchase, I was unable to decipher online what was the shortened version and what was not. I finally found the full version through different means, but it does not seem to be available through many retailers. I believe this to be the least I’ve known about an album when it came time to blog for it. There isn’t even a brief Wikipedia page.
What I think: There have been a couple odd Brazilian albums in this project (Caetano Veloso, Os Mutantes) and thankfully this one is much more straight forward. I can relate…
