My venture into photography continued on Sunday 10 January with a Photowalk of Manchester with established photographer Aidan O’Rourke. Aidan has been photographing Manchester since 1996 yet I only discovered him a couple of months ago thanks to his weekly double page spread in the Manchester Evening News every Thursday.
I met Aidan and four other photography students on Sunday afternoon at Piccadilly Train Station where after the introductions the lesson began with a walk through the station where we were encouraged to look at – with a photographers eye- as many photos, images and generally anything that would make a good photo as we could manage.
Then at London Road Fire Station we took lots of photos, learning about which settings would be best to use (in this case it was the ‘cloudy’ setting, unsurprisingly).
