The legendary jazz-trio from Rio de Janerio have returned for another release from Far Out Recordings. Azymuth have been shredding the jazz-world since the 70s. They’re most known for their 1979 hit “Jazz Carnival” but also received attention for Jazzanova’s remix of their track Amazon and Ivan Conti’s, who is a member of the group, collab with rapper Madlib titled “Jackson-Conti”. Despite being around for over 40 years, Fênix is proof that Azymuth can still bring the heat. Staying true to their Brazilian-Jazz sound but featuring incredible production, this album sounds extremely fresh and youthful.
