Rotterdam’s cubic houses

I’ve been in Rotterdam several times as being known as a different city from the rest of The Netherlands. The city was destroyed during WW2 and it was rebuilt keeping in some parts the common Dutch architecture, but the main landscape consists of sky scrapers and modern buildings. The part I like most is the harbor near Erasmus bridge, most probably because you have a lot of space and you can see the clear sky without moving too much.

We had again a small trip recently in the city and this time I discovered the cubic houses from Blaak. I’ve been in the area each time I’ve visited Rotterdam, but never went in the area under the houses, a passage called OverBlaak, giving an impressive view of the houses.
