The Salford Museum and Art Gallery are allowing their visitors the chance to learn about old sweets inside a replica of an 1850’s sweet shop.

Mr. Tomlinson’s Sweet Shop on Lark Hill Place at Salford Museum & Art Gallery

Inside visitors can expect to be greeted by the museum volunteers who dress up in Victorian clothing to serve old-fashioned sweets such as Jelly Babies, White Chocolate Mice, and Humbugs.

The shop is open to people of all ages and visitors will have the chance to experience this event every Sunday from 12:30-3:00pm at the Salford Museum and Art Gallery.

(Please note that the volunteer team endeavour to open the sweet shop every Sunday afternoon, but please check ahead by calling 0161 778 0800 to confirm it will be open on the day of your visit.)
