In celebration of the V&A Exhibition Road Quarter and Black History Month the V&A Musuem created a free drop in event to celebrate Caribbean culture and its carnival history.
After a long 2 hour bus journey to the V&A museum I was reminded of how big and hectic the museum gets on a weekend. After not visited the museum in over 4 years I was pleasantly surprised when I heard that there was a carnival exhibition going on down there.
Sunday 8th October we saw “ Out of Many One – Caribbean Carnival Festival”
The day consisted of tours, short films, creative workshops, a live steel band and a DJ.
On entering the museum it was not clear as to what area the exhibition was in and staff told me the carnival exhibition was “around the museum”.
