We had a workshop with award winning animator Jessica Ashman. It was a workshop for anyone, so there were students studying various courses at kingston university, and also people who were not even students. We started off by introducing ourselves and saying our favourite piece of art at the moment. Then we were put into four different groups. Our first task was to individually write on post it notes words that we thought described identity. Then we came together as a group using some of the post it notes to create a narrative. Then we were taught how to create an animation. This involved doing a drawing, then tracing over it numerous times and changing things very slightly, this created a moving effect.
