Funny how Brazil has a habit, almost irresistible, of not valuing regionality. It seems that in this country people imagine that everything will only be valued if it is associated with the great centers of the south and southeast or even if it is not related to regions little known worldwide.

The popularly known Brazil nut, now known and used worldwide in various recipes, had its consumption dragged world now under a false premise that all Brazil has always consumed this nut. In fact, this tree is endemic in the Amazon rainforest and the first to spread the culinary use were the natives of this region, also associated with a historical consumption for medicinal purposes, which the first indigenous people were already involved.
