I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Sony. I couldn’t tell you why, but when I was growing up they always had the best technology. It’s something that they set out to do in the 1950’s (where their motto was to redefine the expectations of Japanese products) and I would say until the 2000’s they were pretty good at that.

I’m not going to gush over the Trinitron or anything nerdy like that; I just wanted to say that they made great stuff.
