Notting Hill Carnival just came and went, and we adjusted as we had to – by removing ourselves from the equation, vacating the premises and seeking refuge elsewhere. While carnival is no doubt great for a certain demographic, it’s completely incompatible with two very young children, and there was no way we would have been able to cope with staying home given we live right in the middle of it.
