Djavan is a Samba & MPB ( Música popular brasileira )musician originally from Maceió in north eastern Brazil. Moving to Rio in 1973, Djavan gained attention and recorded his first albumA Voz, o Violão e a Arte de Djavanin 1976.

Drawing elements from music across the globe and mixing with Brazilian rhythms, Djavan continues to perform and record albums today.

After 1980, Djavan uses different guitars with a special Serie Artistica still making appearances. ( Rumoured to be a Romeo 1 1962 )
